Premium Materials. Trusted Brands.
At Liberty, we believe the highest quality means the highest value. That’s why we manufacture our premium sun protection and shade products using only the finest parts and materials from trusted, industry-leading brands.
At Liberty, we exclusively use Alumawood® products for all of our shade structure designs. Alumawood gives you the richly textured finish of wood grain with the convenience and durability of low maintenance aluminum. Shade structures constructed of termite-proof Alumawood won’t crack, peel, warp, rot or burn−and they’ll never need painting.
Liberty offers RECacril® canvases as an option for our retractable awnings. These canvases are high performance fabrics made from fade resistant, solution-dyed acrylic fibers that are spun and woven to ensure exceptional durability against tears and finished with a proprietary “Infinity Process” to make the fabric especially water and dirt repellant.
For interior window coverings that require manual operation, Liberty exclusively uses RollEase Acmeda’s award-winning clutch lift systems. Industry-wide, Rollease systems are preferred 3-to-1 over competition and considered the finest available. We also use Rollease Acmeda’s premier solar screen and blackout fabrics.
Liberty Awnings and Shades is certified as a “Platinum Level Expert” by Somfy, the world’s leading manufacturer of specialized motors and control systems for retractable awnings, patio screens, window solar shades and interior shades. Somfy motors and controls can be installed on Liberty products, and we have the official training to provide programming, service, or replacement whenever needed.
Liberty offers Sunbrella® fabric as an option for our retractable awnings. Sunbrella has been a leader in outdoor fabric since 1961 when it debuted as an alternative to cotton. It’s made of acrylic fibers with pigmentation added, giving the rich look and feel of cotton with hundreds of color and patterns to choose from without fading or degrading.
Seams sewn with conventional polyester thread can rupture and tear after exposure to extreme sun and wind. That’s why Liberty exclusively uses GORE® TENARA® Sewing Thread, made by the same company that developed Gore-Tex® for the garment industry. TENARA thread resists harmful UV rays and is made of Teflon™ for extreme durability.
Liberty offers retractable patio sun and wind screens and solar shades made of Textilene® solar fabrics which deliver up to 95% sun blocking power and excellent visibility. Textilene is a mesh fabric made from PVC-coated polyester yarn that’s unmatched for strength, durability and resistance to UV rays while still allowing air to freely flow through it.
Gaposa motors and controls can be installed on Liberty retractable awnings, patio sun and wind screens, and exterior and interior solar shades. Gaposa has been producing automation systems for shades and awnings since 1969 and is known for developing the quietest motor technologies in the industry.
